about antoinette

I have always had a deep interest in holistic well-being & the connection between the mind, body & our energy system. I was particularly fascinated by the concept of a life-force energy & wanted to understand more about the role energy plays in our overall well-being. That interest became much more personal following a period of ill health that left me completely exhausted. It prompted me to look more deeply at my own well-being & explore approaches that considered the whole person rather than focusing on one aspect in isolation. What began as a personal search for answers eventually opened the door to years of study, self-discovery & professional training in Bio-Energy Therapy.

What I didn't realise at the time was just how much this would change the direction of my life. My interest in energy grew into a deeper understanding of the connection between our thoughts, emotions, physical well-being & energy, & how each can influence the way we feel.

I became particularly interested in how our experiences, patterns of thinking & periods of prolonged stress can influence how we feel & how we respond to the challenges we encounter in life.

This broader understanding has continued to shape my own personal development & the way I approach my work today.

My own journey has become one of ongoing self-discovery, reflection & personal growth. It has encouraged me to look inward, to question, to remain curious & to develop a deeper understanding of myself & the world around me.

One of the ways I feel most connected is through nature. Spending time outdoors, surrounded by the sea, trees, flowers, wildlife & changing landscapes, gives me an opportunity to slow down, become present & reconnect with myself. There is something about the natural world that continually reminds me of the beauty of life & our connection to something greater than ourselves. These experiences have also helped shape the way I understand well-being & the importance of feeling connected to ourselves.

My own experience also taught me the importance of becoming more aware of how I was feeling & taking a more active role in caring for my well-being. I began paying greater attention to the different areas of my life that affected how I felt, while continuing to explore Bio-Energy & other supportive practices.

Over time, I began to feel more like myself again, with a renewed appreciation for the importance of looking after my own well-being.

Through my own experiences, I developed a genuine desire to support others through difficult periods in their lives. It is this that continues to give me a real sense of purpose in the work I do today.

I believe the relationship between practitioner & client is an important part of the experience. I bring warmth, empathy & intuition to my work, with good communication & listening at the heart of my approach. My own life experiences have also taught me that we can never fully know what another person may be going through, so I try to meet each person with understanding, compassion & respect for their individual circumstances.

While Bio-Energy Therapy remains the central focus of my work, where appropriate & welcomed, I may also share simple supportive strategies that encourage greater self-awareness, more helpful ways of thinking & a more positive outlook.

I feel genuinely privileged to do the work I do.
